Mason Kapp (Eleanor Vance) is a transplant from South Carolina. She’s appeared on stage in L.A. at the Lost Studio and was last seen in “The Stonewater Rapture” at the Jewel Box Theatre. She played “Willie” in a short film of Tennessee Williams’ one act, “This Property is Condemned”. Mason would like to thank her teacher Cinda Jackson, the students at the Lost Studio, and WHCT for allowing her to be a part of this production, and of course her friends and family for their patience and unwavering support.
Sylvia Deza (Theodora) is so thrilled to be working once again with her dear friend Jim Miller. They've played opposite each other in several plays, but this is her first time being directed by him. It has turned out to be a wonderful experience. Sylvia was most recently seen on stage as Brooke Carmichael in "An Act of the Imagination" at the Palos Verdes Playhouse. Some of her favorite roles include Lenore Gold in "One of the All Time Greats" right here at WHCT and Mrs.Wire in Tennessee Williams "The Lady of Larkspur Lotion" Sylvia would like to thank her husband Ed and their daughter Francesca for all their support and their love of scary stories.
Alan Waserman (Dr. Montague), who hails from Montreal, Canada, is delighted to be back at WHCT, working alongside some old friends and this gorgeous new theatre. He previously appeared here in “Night of January 16th”, “Guys and Dolls” and last years “Tale of Two Cities”. Alan has also just completed work on a horror film, and is anxiously waiting the release of a featured Western, hopefully due out this winter. Alan would also like to thank his lovely better half for all the support she has given him over the years.
Billy Minogue (Luke Sanderson) is excited to be making his stage debut as “Luke Sanderson” in this production of “The Haunting of Hill House”. Billy has appeared in numerous productions while studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he recently finished work on the future film project “Laurietta” playing “Josiah Dubois” a southern Boulvedere, in which Billy was able to pull from his hometown roots of New Roads, Louisiana. Currently, Billy is working on the independent film “Reuben” and his latest stage endeavor being “American Weirdity” with the AWAS theatre group. He also has numerous national commercials running. Billy thanks his Agent, Teacher, friends and family.
Karalee Austin (Mrs. Montague) moved from San Diego three years ago to pursue a film-acting career. She’s made four films since arriving, but it’s her passion for the theatre that beckons. Favorite theatre credits include “Sweet Sue”, “Rumors”, “Return Engagements” (Best Actress Nomination), “ How the Other Half Loves”, “The Glass Menagerie” and the “Joyce Carol Oates Festival”. Ms. Austin dedicates this performance to her daughter Lalie (my incredible sunshine!).
Bob VanDusen (Arthur Parker) Despite appearances, Bob is a veteran of more than thirty plays. Some were better than others. Lately, Bob has been busy taking direction from his wife Mary in the long running productions known as Lizy and Rebecca. They are much scarier than “The Haunting of Hill House”.
Jim Miller
wishes to thank Jon Berry for this opportunity and to congratulate him
on his “dream come true” The West Valley Playhouse. Jim has previously
directed “Table Manners” and “Guilty Conscience” at WHCT and has acted
in several of their productions. He was last seen as Bernard in “Don’t
Dress for Dinner”, for which he received an ADA nomination.
