The Clyde Porter Arts Day was created to continue the legacy of this visionary who wanted to bring the arts and culture to the
San Fernando Valley. We know that healthy twenty-first century communities will be those that develop a sense of common
purpose. We also know that community-building goals can be achieved through civic festivals. The Clyde Porter Arts Day is a
good example of a community-building event with an emphasis in promoting the arts and culture along the Sherman Way corridor -
and adjacent areas - in the business district of Old Town Canoga Park. This family festival of arts will include an outdoor
performance stage, street performers, a fine art exposure, arts booths and other exhibitors. Inside the theatre's foyer, fine
artists will exhibit their works of art providing the ambiance of a fine arts gallery. Later in mid afternoon a live auction
will be held of a piece of art created by a local artist. The evening will end with a separate admission live performance which
will take place inside the West Valley Playhouse on our stage.
To inquire about Sponsorship or art vendor booth opportunities for this event, to order tickets for the Chantilly Sisters performance,
or for other information, please contact Clyde Porter's West Valley Playhouse at (818) 884-1907.
